Current Impact/Netcool NOI EA doesn't provide the option for setting different TYPES and RESOURCES per specific configuration. This forces customer to use global EA configuration for all potential reports with no alterantive. To create the desired oprion of per report types configuration the following changes wer implemented: Changes in the Web GUI: EA Configuration wizard ? Introducing an unique typename in 'Add type' functionality. EA Configure Analytics 'Advanced Tab'. Enable selection of types and resources when configuring individual reports. This is a one-time selection at report creation time. Command line option to create additional data types. This is an alternative to adding types wia WebGUI. Supporting Derby DB changes: New tables (RELATEDEVENTS. PG_CUSTOM_TYPES_CONFIGURATION, RELATEDEVENTS. PG_CUSTOM_RESOURCES_CONFIGURATION) and changed existing table(RELATEDEVENTS.RE_CONFIGURATION, RELATEDEVENTS.PG_TYPE_CONFIGURATION) are used to store the report/types and report/resource configuration . Processing configurationes logic in Policies: When processing historical data (RE_PROCESS policy) we account for global and specific (per report) types and resources configuration. If events of such types are available in historical DB, then they are mapped and stored as EVENTTYPES in RELATEDEVENTS.GROUPEVENTS table. Further when processing incoming events created EVENTYPES are considered to match events to patterns. Full list of updated and new policies can be fount in work item 69238 'Ability to configure event type per report configuration.COX' Link tab.
