Troubleshooting
Problem
A Liberty profile server with the []serverStatus-1.0[
] feature might not automatically provide its status to a job manager. The []serverStatus-1.0[
] feature enables Liberty profile servers to publish their status to WebSphere Application Server deployment managers and job managers that are aware of the server as a resource in their job configuration. The known states are []Started[
] and []Stopped[
]. Automatic publication of status to a job manager might not occur until after an inventory job is run on the job manager.
Resolving The Problem
Install a fix pack for 8.5.5 to resolve this issue. Refer to the Recommended Updates page for delivery information: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27004980
If your product version is previous to 8.5.5, after installing Liberty profile resources that include a server with the serverStatus-1.0
feature, run an inventory job that includes the server as a target. Submit the inventory job using a deployment manager or job manager console. Or, run the inventory
administrative job of the submitJob
command; for example:
wsadmin -lang jython
AdminTask.submitJob('-jobType inventory -targetList [Liberty_resource]')
