'Configure Type-Ahead' AutoFill Function

Below is an example of the 'Configure Type-Ahead' AutoFill Function on the WORKORDER.LOCATION field:

1) Log into Maximo – Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – System Properties – filter for 'mxe.webclient.ClientDataValidation':



Out of the box this value is set to '0'. Click within the Global Value textbox and input '1':



Click on 'SAVE'. Click on the checkbox corresponding with 'mxe.webclient.ClientDataValidation'. Click on the 'Live Refresh' icon on the toolbar:



Click OK to update the property from 0 to 1:



2) Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – Application Designer – Access the WOTRACK application – click on the Work Order tab – click on the Locations field – click on the Control Properties on the Toolbar – click on the Advanced tab:



Click on the 'Configure Type-Ahead' button:



Click on 'New Row' – within the Domain Attribute – enter the value 'LOCATION':



Click on OK - Click on Save - Click on Sign Out – Close the Browser – Open a New Browser – Sign back into Maximo – Go To – Work Orders – Work Order Tracking – create a new Work Order – within the Location field, enter a value. The dropdown will now appear with the listings of values you can select:
