Error description
Problem Description When a preventive maintenance record uses a meter based frequency and the PM is INACTIVE the pmwogen crontask tries to generate the pm record when a meter reading has been entered against the asset. Steps to Reproduce Go to the Organizations Filter for Eaglena PM Options for Bedford site Make sure Automatic PM WO generation is checked In the WO Generation Where Clause = status='Active' Go the Assets application Filter for Asset = 13140 Change status to operating Click on Meters tab Populate Meter field = RunHours Populate Last Reading field = 50 Populate Last Reading Date = prior to current date Populate Average Calculation Method field = ALL Populate Reading Type field = Delta Populate Accept Rolldown From field = ASSET Save the record Go to the Preventive Maintenance application Create a new pm Populate the asset field = 13140 Click on the Frequency tab > Meter Based Frequency sub tab Click new row Populate Meter field = Runhours Populate Frequency field= 25 Make sure only the only the Use Last Work Order's Start Date to Calculate Next Due Date field is checked Save the record Change status of the pm to INACTIVE Go to the Crontask application Filter for the PMWoGen crontask activate it and set a schedule Go to the Assets application Filter for asset 13140 From More Actions > Enter Meter reading example 30 Click OK The units to go in the frequency tab for the preventive maintenance record will - 30 and when the pmwogen crontask runs it will try to generate a pm work order as you will receive an email that will look something like this BMXAA3162E - Cannot generate work order for PM XXXX that is not in Active status. Results The pmwogen crontask will try to generate a pm work order even though the preventive maintenance record is on INACTIVE status. Expected Results The preventive maintenance record is in INACTIVE status and Maximo should not be trying to generate a work order. Product Version Maximo 76

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * Maximo users who use automatic work order generation upon * * entry of a new meter reading. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * When a preventive maintenace record uses a meter based * * frequency and the PM is INACTIVE Maximo tries to generate * * the pm record when a meter reading has been entered against * * the asset. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Problem Description When a preventive maintenance record uses a meter-based frequency and the PM is INACTIVE Maximo tries to generate a work order when a meter reading is entered against the asset. This problem does not involve the PMWogenCronTask. This is controlled by the ASSET.AUTOWOGEN and PM.PMACTMETER and PM.PMASSETWOGEN flags. When a meter reading is entered, if these values are true, the autowogen functionality evaluates whether a work order should be generated based on the reading. Steps to Reproduce ==>Go to the System Properties application. Make sure mail.smtp.host is correctly set. Make sure that mxe.adminEmail is set to an email account you can access. ==>Go the Assets application Filter for Asset 13140. Change status to OPERATING. Click on Meters tab. Populate Meter field = RUNHOURS. Populate Last Reading field = 50. Populate Last Reading Date = prior to current date. Populate Average Calculation Method field = ALL. Populate Reading Type field = DELTA. Save the record. ==>Go to the Preventive Maintenance application Create a new PM. Populate the asset field = 13140. Click on the Frequency tab > Meter Based Frequency sub tab. Click new row. Populate Meter field = RUNHOURS. Populate Frequency field = 25. Make sure only the following are checked: 1. Use Last Work Order's Start Date to Calculate Next Due Date? --> checked 2. Generate Work Order Based on Meter Readings (Do Not Estimate)? --> checked 3. Generate Work Order When Meter Frequency is Reached? --> checked Save the record. Make sure the status of the PM is DRAFT or INACTIVE. The problem will occur with either. ==>Go to the Assets application Filter for asset 13140. From More Actions > Enter Meter Reading. Enter a new delta reading of 30. Click OK. Autowogen functionality will evaluate PMs for the asset and meter to determine if a work order should be generated. Even though the PM is INACTIVE, the administrator receives an email with text similar to the following: ------ BMXAA3162E - Cannot generate work order for PM 1043 that is not in Active status. Generate work order from PMs finished 10/19/18 10:56 AM. ------ Results Maximo will try to generate a PM work order even though the preventive maintenance record is in INACTIVE status. Expected Results The preventive maintenance record is in INACTIVE status and Maximo should not try to generate a work order. The administrator should not receive emails referencing PMs that are not ACTIVE.
