Error description
An IBM Spectrum Protect Plus OnDemand Restore using Instant Access allows the user to change the name of the virtual machine (VM). The problem with changing the name is an Instant Access restore is to mount a VMDK back to the original VM. While configuring the restore using the IBM Spectrum Plus User Interface (UI), users are presented with a field to append or prepend characters to the VM name. Adding characters to the VM attempts to locate a VM that does not exist and eventually causes the Instant Access to fail with the following error: ERROR,1569488930381,...,Failed to migrate vm <VM Name>. Storage migration for virtual machine '<VM Name>' (...) failed with error 'There is not enough space on the disk.' (0x80070070). Migration did not succeed. Not enough disk space at 'c:\VMName_92d15350_1569488930231\ Virtual Hard Disks'. Local fix
If users want to do an instance access restore they should not try to rename the VM. If users want to rename the VM, they should perform an Instant Virtualization (IV).

Problem conclusion
IBM Spectrum Protect Plus has been updated to correct the problem. Updates to the on demand instance access restore screen have been made to hide options to set VM prefix and suffix.
