Error description

  • When processing a backup file it is possible for
mqsiextractcomponents to encounter some files which were taken
as part of the backup, but which are not part of an active
    application or library.

These files could appear if there had been a previous problem
during the delete of an application/library and so debris
    remains on the filesystem.

When mqsiextractcomponents encounters these files it throws an
exception, stopping the command running. This means that the
backup can't be extracted without the customer manually
removing the file from the backup.

mqsiextractcomponents should output a warning reporting the
unknown file, but keep processing. This gives the user the
option to ignore the error if they are aware of what the file
    is and why it's present.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

    application or library.

When mqsiextractcomponents encounters these files it throws an
exception, stopping the command running. This means that the
backup can't be extracted without the customer manually removing
    the file from the backup.

mqsiextractcomponents should output a warning reporting the
unknown file, but keep processing. This gives the user the
option to ignore the error if they are aware of what the file is
    and why it's present.

Problem conclusion

  • mqsiextractcomponents has been modified to report a warning for
an unknown file inside a backup instead of throwing an
    exception.
