Error description

  • When a message flow with a Timeout Control node is migrated
from IIBv9 to ACEv11 using 'mqsiextractcomponents' it may fail
    to start reporting:

    BIP9320E: Message Flow '<flow name>', '<application name>'
encountered a failure and could not start.

BIP2211E: Invalid configuration attribute value '', is not
valid for target attribute 'requestLocation', object '<flow
name>.Timeout Control'; valid values are 'Field-Reference'.

    BIP2402E: (, 1.1) : Syntax error : 'EOF'.

This will occur if the Timeout Control node property "Request
Location" ( requestLocation="") is set to empty string.

Local fix

  • LocalFix: Set "Request Location" to the documented,
    (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSMKHH_10.0.0/co
    m.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ac20800_.htm) , default
    "InputLocalEnvironment.TimeoutRequest"

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When a message flow with a Timeout Control node is migrated from
IIBv9/IIBv10 to ACEv11 using 'mqsiextractcomponents' it may fail
    to start reporting:

    BIP9320E: Message Flow '<flow name>', '<application name>'
encountered a failure and could not start.

BIP2211E: Invalid configuration attribute value '', is not valid
for target attribute 'requestLocation', object '<flow
name>.Timeout Control'; valid values are 'Field-Reference'.

    BIP2402E: (, 1.1) : Syntax error : 'EOF'.

This will occur if the Timeout Control node property "Request
Location" ( requestLocation="") is set to empty string.

Problem conclusion

  • The Timeout Control node is corrected to assume the default path
    of "InputLocalEnvironment.TimeoutRequest" when the "Request
Location" ( requestLocation="") is set to empty string.
