Error description
Under a rare condition the Spectrum Protect server can crash unexpectedly generating a core dump. This crash is likely to occur when data is ingested into a container storage pool from the Spectrum Protect client. Running dbx on AIX platform will show a stack similar to: Segmentation fault in IPRA.$IsTxnFlushRequired at 0x10092c7d8 ($t1272787) 0x10092c7d8 (IPRA.$IsTxnFlushRequired+0x78) e8db0000 ld r6,0x0(r27) (dbx) where IPRA.$IsTxnFlushRequired(??) at 0x10092c7d8 SdAsyncWrite(??) at 0x10092a3fc AsyncWriteThread(??, ??) at 0x1008cc62c PcConsumerThread(??) at 0x1005631d8 StartThread(0x0) at 0x10000fafc Note: the core dump will only be generated if the operating system is properly enabled for core dumps. To collect the core information and the stack trace on Linux technote #1260220 can be used.
