APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After uninstalling IBM MQ on AIX, the /usr/mqm/swidtag directory
is not empty.

Local fix

  • After removing the MQ packages from the system, the
/usr/mqm/swidtag directory may be deleted by a system
administrator

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An omission in the uninstallation scripts failed to remove the
/usr/mqm/swidtag directory and its contents.

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ uninstallation scripts on AIX have been updated to
remove this directory.

Please note that as the uninstallation scripts are contained
within the installation filesets, this issue is only resolved
for new product installation media issued by IBM at or above the
levels listed below. The issue cannot be addressed by the
application of fix pack maintenance.
