APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the Response Type is set to JSON, and the HTTP(S) Front
Side Handler is configured to allow a WebSocket upgrade, the
WebSocket upgrade handshake might not be correctly processed by
    the DataPower service.

Local fix

  • Use Non-XML as the Response Type, and manually check for JSON if
     needed.

Problem summary

  • Once the web socket upgrade has been accepted by the server, set
a flag so that the multistep response rule does not attempt to
parse anything or nothing in the response rule.

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix
