Error description
If a file on AIX or Linux platform has an inode value greater than 4294967295, then the backup-archive client command "dsmc query backup file_name -detail" will incorrectly report this inode value as a negative number. For example: ls -i /filesystem_name/file_name 504403587661561948 /filesystem_name/file_name dsmc query backup /filesystem_name/file_name -detail Size Backup Date Mgmt Class A/I File ---- ----------- ---------- --- ---- xxx B nnn MGMTCLASS1 A /filesystem_name/file_name Modified: nnn Accessed: nnn Inode changed: nnn Compression Type: xxx Encryption Type: xxx Client-deduplicated: xxx Migrated: xxx Inode#: -100663204 Media Class: xxx Library Volume ID: nnn Restore Order: xxx Note that "Inode#" value here is a negative number, -100663204), instead of 504403587661561948. This is a cosmetic/display issue and has no affect on backup or restore functionality. Initial Impact: Low IBM Spectrum Protect versions affected: Client 7.1.x and 8.1.x on AIX and Linux platforms
