APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using the MQOutput node and the GroupScatter node, it is
currently not possible to have the MQOutput node participate in
the group without the "Request" attribute being set. This
prevents the certain usage of the MQOutput node for group
requests that do not fit into the standard MQ request format.

    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s):

Local fix

  • Do not set the "Add request to group" attribute on the MQOutput
node, and instead use a Compute node or similar to set an
Environment overrideto add the details of the MQOutput node's
message as custom request for the GroupScatter node.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of the new Group nodes in IBM App Connect Enterprise
v11 and IBM Integration Bus v10 who use the MQOutput node as a
    request method.

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
In the initial release of the Group nodes, it was not possible
to use the MQOutput node for a group request without also
specifying that the MQ message was a request.

Problem conclusion

  • The product now accepts the use of MQOutput nodes participating
in a group but not setting the "Request" checkbox to true.
