IT26199: MAPPING NODE ERROR WHEN A MISSING PROPERTIES FOLDER IS MOVED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A Mapping node can fail when the input message assembly does not
  contain Properties folder, however the map includes a Move
  transform of the Properties folder and the Local Environment or
  a Transport Header folder. The Mapping node will fail with an
  error of the following form:-
  
  BIP3949E: An error occurred during the  processing of a message.
  The error message is

  com.ibm.broker.xci.BrokerCursor.toMbElementString(BrokerCursor.j
  ava:1899)   at
  com.ibm.broker.xci.BrokerCursor.addItemDeepCopy(BrokerCursor.jav
  a:1642)
  

Local fix

• Since the input message assembly does not contain a Properties
  folder, the problem can be avoided by updating the Map to remove
  the 'Move' transform on the Properties folder.

  All users of IBM Integration Bus v10 and App Connect Enterprise
  V11.0 who use a Mapping node to transform a Message Assembly
  that does not contain a Properties folder.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  A Mapping node can fail when the input message assembly does not
  contain Properties folder, however the map includes a Move

Problem conclusion

• The Mapping node is corrected to detect the Properties folder is
  not present and avoid the exception attempting to perform a Move
  in that situation.
