Problem

When installing an IBM WebSphere Application Server offering from a Microsoft Windows operating system onto IBM i using the iRemoteInstall utility, you might see an error message similar to the following even though the offering is installed successfully: []10/05/2012 11:06:08.493 - WNGI0032E: Error during installation: Installed com.ibm.websphere.BASE.v85_8.5.0.20120501_1108 to the /QIBM/ProdData/WAS directory.[]

Resolving The Problem

After the iRemoteInstall utility completes, check the installation directory on the IBM i machine to verify that the offering was installed successfully. If the offering was installed successfully, you can ignore the message.
