IT23486: Maintenance level information not included in RVERSION value displayed by channel status for Managed .Net client connection

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When displaying the RVERSION channel status property via DISPLAY
  CHSTATUS for an MQ managed V9 .Net Client Connecting to a Queue
  Manager the version of the remote MQ code identified by RVERSION
  is incorrectly showing as (08000000).  The DISPLAY CHSTATUS
  output shows as below:

  If APAR IT20932 is included then the maintenance level
  information is omitted in the RVERSION for V9 and will be
  displayed as RVERSION(09000000).
  
  If APAR IT07782 is included then the maintenance level
  information is omitted in the RVERSION for V8 and V7.5 and will
  be displayed as RVERSION(07500000) and RVERSION(08000000).

  Users of managed .Net client applications attempting to find the
  RVERSION property of a channel.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  The V9 managed .Net client did not have the correct version
  coded and so passed the old value to the queue manager on
  connection, causing the queue manager's channel status to
  display the RVERSION as RVERSION(08000000).
  
  With IT20932 in place, the RVERSION value for V9 was corrected
  as RVERSION(09000000) but this did not include the maintenance
  level information.
  
  Similarly for V8 and V7.5, APAR IT07782 did not include the
  maintenance level information in RVERSION.
  

Problem conclusion

• The managed .Net client code now passes the correct version
  information including maintenance level to the queue manager on
  connection, so the RVERSION of a connected channel displays
  correctly.
  
  It should be noted that the ordering of the digits in 7.5 is
  corrected. A 7.5 client will now report RVERSION(070500xx),
  where xx is the fix pack level, instead of RVERSION(07500000)
