Error description
The masking information for some port's host connections are missing. This causes the performance collector to aggregate those host connections' statistics incorrectly. There are no errors to report. In an observed case, two XIV FC ports that are known to have an equally balanced workload, report differently in Spectrum Control with one port showing a lot more throughput than the other. The IBM Spectrum Control code summarizes raw statistics before deltas have been computed, this cannot work reliably. This happens only when a host port is unknown to Spectrum Control RECREATE STEPS: Observe incorrectly reported port statistics in 5.2.12+ ________________________________________________________________ DB2 Version used for Server: n/a The defect is against component: 5608TPC00 Server/Manager build/release (TPC): 5.2.12 ________________________________________________________________ Problem as described by customer: total port data rate for XIV believed to be inaccurate Initial customer impact (low/med/high): low
