If you try to start a Liberty profile server, an error message might be generated that says that the server failed to start

Troubleshooting

Problem

If you try to start a Liberty profile server using the []start server[] command, the server might start normally but an error message might be generated that states that the server failed to start. If the server name is DefaultServletEngine, for example, you might see output similar to the following in your QShell session: []> ./bin/server start DefaultServletEngine CPC1221: Job 355734/QEJBSVR/DEFAULTSER submitted to job queue QWASJOBQ in library QWAS85. Server DefaultServletEngine start failed. Check server logs for details. $ [] In addition, the server []console.log[] file might contain no error messages but contain the following message: []CWWKF0011I: The server DefaultServletEngine is ready to run a smarter planet.[]

Resolving The Problem

The Liberty profile server has correctly started, and the error message can be ignored.

Note: You can optionally install Version 8.5.0.1 to resolve this issue.
