How do you launch the IBM Rational DOORS Help contents in a different language?
Cause
By default Rational DOORS Help contents will be launched by the language settings set in the Operating System Locale.
Also, It is not a convenient method to run the key -nl en from the Microsoft Windows command prompt each time you want to launch Rational DOORS Help contents in different language.
Answer
To launch Rational DOORS Help in different language, apply the following steps:
- Navigate to the .../DOORShome/help directory
- Create a shortcut of the help.exe file
- Right click the shortcut file and click Properties
- Click the Shortcut tab
- In the Target field, towards the end, put a space and add the key -nl en
Target field value will look like:
"C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.3\help\help.exe" -nl en
Note: The last two letters correspond to the language used. In this case English is used.
- Click Apply and OK
- Clicking on the Shortcut icon will launch the Rational DOORS Help contents in English
