Error description
When implementing cloud container storage pool using Softlayer, node replication may hang. Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected: IBM Spectrum Protect 7.1.3 and later. Customer/L2 Diagnostics Collect servermon outputs. Review the file instr.txt from the target server, there is an unusual high amount of time spent in CLOUD DELETE operation. For example, TOTAL SERVER SUMMARY Operation Count Tottime Avgtime Maxtime ------------------------------------------------- Cloud Delete 77 40091.233 520.665 1237.273 Also, in the FFDC.log, messages similar to the following can be seen: 20:51:25.993 [2][ffdcutil.c][377][FFDCLogThread]:[11-11-2016 20:51:25.993][ FFDC_GENERAL_SERVER_ERROR ]: (sdcloud.c:3244) com.tivoli.dsm.cloud.api.ProviderJClouds deleteBatch Unhandled HTTP exception: org.jclouds.http.HttpResponseException message: java.io.IOException: stream is closed connecting to DELETE SOFTLAYER_OBJECTS Initial Impact: High Additional Keywords: TSM replicate slow performance
