Local fix
1. Delete the damaged model queue in runmqsc. 2. Stop the queue manager. 3. Recreate the system objects (strmqm -c). 4. Start the queue manager.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of MQ where one or more model queue files have become corrupted. This is usually due to a failed user operation, such as a backup or restore of the queue files. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a model queue file had become corrupted on the disk, omissions in the error handling logic could lead to MQ partially initializing the internal queue object. If encountered, this partially initialized object caused the FDC records to be produced.
Problem conclusion
The code has been improved to better handle these error conditions if the model queue file has become corrupted. Damaged model queues should be recreated by the user. If the damaged queues are system model queues, users can run strmqm with the -c option to regenerate system objects. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.5 7.5.0.5 v8.0 8.0.0.2 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
