In order to use WebSphere Application Server V7.0 with Installation Manager, it is necessary to use Installation Manager's "import" function. This function is only available in graphical mode and response file mode.
In order to allow Installation Manager to recognize WebSphere Application Server V7.0, it is necessary to use Installation Manager's "import" function. Importing WebSphere Application Server V7.0 into Installation Manager is typically required for installing V7.0 Feature Packs. It may also be required when using WebSphere Application Server V7.0 with other IBM products, such as the IBM Business Process Manager V7.5 products.
The "import" function is available when using Installation Manager in graphical mode. It is also available when using a response file to run Installation Manager in silent mode. Please refer to the product's or feature pack's Information Center for details about how to use the import function.
Note that the "import" function is not available in command-line mode with the "imcl" command in Installation Manager V1.5.x and earlier. Future enhancements may improve this, and the documentation for the future releases of Installation Manager will state if the release supports this function.
