Problem

Attempts to import Enumerated attribute results in Enumerated values not being imported when using IBM Rational DOORS.

Symptom

When importing Enumerated attribute from one Formal Module to another Formal Module in Rational DOORS only imports attribute but not the values

Cause

The main cause of Enumerated values not being imported is because the type is not imported along with the attribute.

Resolving The Problem

Below are the steps to import Enumerated attribute with Enumeration Type (values):

  1. Open Source and Target module

  3. Click Import
  4. Browse to the Source module
  5. Check the Enumerated attribute associated with Enumeration Type imported from the above steps to import and click OK
