Error description
When using WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition or Managed File Transfer to perform managed transfers, "progress" XML messages are published to the SYSTEM.FTE/Log topic. These publications can contain supplementary information for transfer items. Supplementary information can include details on I/O exception, for example, that occurred during the data transfer for that transfer item. This APAR wraps additional I/O error messages with the standard product message identifier that begins with the character prefix "BFG".

Problem conclusion
This APAR adds standard product message wrapping to more I/O exceptions that can occur at the sending agent when processing a transfer item. The new messages are: - BFGTR0079E: An I/O exception was caught creating a file channel for a source file. The message in the exception was: <localised_text_of_the_IO_exception> - BFGTR0080E: An I/O exception was caught opening a file channel for a source file. The message in the exception was: <localised_text_of_the_IO_exception> This APAR also adds a new supplementary warning information message for I/O exceptions that can occur during transfer checkpoint processing at the destination agent for a transfer. The new message is: - BFGTR0078W: An I/O exception was caught closing a channel during transfer checkpoint processing. The message in the exception was: <localised_text_of_the_IO_exception> --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v7.0 7.0.4.6 v7.5 7.5.0.7 v8.0 8.0.0.6 The latest available FTE maintenance can be obtained from 'Fix List for WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition 7.0' http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27015313 The latest available MQ maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
