Local fix

  • Remove the control files by using -Xshareclasses:destroy option
    and retry.

Problem summary

  • The problem occurs when the memory control file of a
non-persistent shared class cache is of 0 size.
Using such a cache in read-only mode specified by
-Xsharedclasses:readonly option results in JVM to crash.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.1 SR3
    7.0.0 SR2
    .
JVM has been fixed to display a proper error message when it
tries to attach to a non-persistent shared class cache with
memory control file of size 0 bytes in read-only mode.

Temporary fix
