* Cp1256S and ISO-8859-6S sun.io and nio encoder cannot handle
\uFEF5-\uFEFC properly.
* "ibm.swapLF" system property does not work as expected when
multiple Arabic converters are used at same time.
* IBM420, IBM864 and IBM1046 nio decoder may not work as
expected, it depends on buffer size.

  • * Cp1256S and ISO-8859-6S sun.io and nio encoder could not
handled non-JAVABIDI implementation.
* Internal value for "ibm.swapLF" system property was shared by
converter classes.
* Buffer underflow handling for IBM420, IBM864 and IBM1046 nio
decoder was not correct.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
6.0.0 SR11
7.0.0 SR3
6.0.1 SR3
.
* Cp1256S and ISO-8859-6S can detect non-JAVABIDI implementation
properly.
* Change the value to instance value.
* Change buffer underflow handling logic.
