When setting "UseUnplannedInv" on YFS_ITEM to Y, a future date is shown for available quantity when optimizing on Date.

Troubleshooting

Problem

When setting "UseUnplannedInv" on YFS_ITEM to Y, a future date is shown for available quantity when optimizing on Date.

Symptom

Scenario:
In the input to findInventory for an item having UseUnplannedInv=Y in YFS_ITEM, the Requested quantity is 100. Only 4 quantity is available.

When findInventory is invoked, the output indicates all the 100 quantity to be available on the future date. The optimization type in the scheduling rule is set to "Date".

Expected behavior:
Current date should be shown for 4 quantity and future date for 96 quantity.
Error Message

NA

Resolving The Problem

When in the scheduling rule, the optimization type is set to "Cost, Number of Shipments" this is the expected behavior. But in case of optimization type as "Date", the behavior should be as described above.

This was fixed in MCF 7.11 HF106. It is not described in the release notes.

Note: There were other issues related to findInventory API which seemed to have fixed in HF106 without information in the release notes.
