Problem summary
THE MONITORING SERVER CRASHES AFTER SITUATION RESTART The remote monitoring server crashes after a situation used by a policy is restarted. The restart is issued after the remote monitoring server re-establishes its lost connection to the HUB. The situation had been updated since the remote monitoring server's connection had been lost and, upon reconnecting, needed to update its tables to reflect these changes. When the situation is updated at the remote monitoring server, its current rules are deleted making it impossible to restart. When the policy's thread wakes up to check the status of the situation, the monitoring server crashes.
Problem conclusion
Avoid restart by forcing a complete start of the situation. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.2.2-TIV-ITM-FP0007 | fix pack | 6.2.3-TIV-ITM-FP0001
