Problem

dbverify is not identifying tables to drop in EFrame_Drops.lst

Symptom

According to the MCF 8.x Installation Guide, after running the dbverify utility, the EFrame_Drops.lst file will contain a list of tables that can be removed. However, this feature is not working properly.

dbverify is able to effective flag dropped columns and indices for removal, but does not currently report on when entire tables are dropped.

Resolving The Problem

This has been confirmed to be a Product Defect. It is being tracked with SF Case 76026 and QC Defect 195775.

The fix will be deferred to a future development version of MCF. (For time reference, the deferral will be beyond MCF 8.5, which is due out in late 2009.)
