Troubleshooting


Problem

Application Configurator or System Management Console (SMC) does not load/appear. (MCF 7.x or 8.0)

Symptom

The Configurator or SMC does not load on a Windows box and throws session timeout errors.

Error Message

The Configurator first issues a Session Timeout error and prompts for the password. After entering the password, an error dialog "Unable to load Configurator" appears.

The SMC also does not load. It throws an "YHM Connection Lost" error.

Resolving The Problem

You might see this problem on Windows and the appearance is entirely system dependent.

The resolution:

  1. Verify the version of JRE in use. JRE6 can cause these problems.
  2. Verify that the loading JSP picks up the supported version of JDK/JRE as mentioned in the MCF Installation guide.
