Troubleshooting

Problem

SIM: How to perform Manifesting in Store Inventory Management?

Symptom

2. When can the Shipments be Manifested in SIM?
3. Can I Manifest a Container?
4. Which is the API that needs to be traced in case of any errors?
5. What are the exact steps for Manifesting?
6. What are the possible errors that may be faced during Manifesting?
7. How do I confirm if manifesting is successful?

Cause

Resolving The Problem

1. Configurations driving Manifesting:
* In Store configurator -> manage participants -> Search for the Store.
* Under Parcel Carrier Preferences of the Store, add a new record for the SCAC (FEDX, for example). Provide the Shipping Account # for the SCAC.
* When creating the Order / Shipment, select the Carrier Service Code.

2. When to perform Manifesting?
* Only when the status of the Outbound Shipment drops to 'Ready for Customer Pick'

3. Can I manifest a Container?
* While Manifesting in SIM, system creates a Container internally and adds it on to the Shipment on providing the Tracking Number and Weight in the Add Containers panel.
Number of rows added is equivalent to the number of containers being added to the Shipment
For Ex: Adding two records will create two containers for the Shipment.

4. What API's to be traced for any error?
* addToContainer
* openManifest
* closeManifest

5. Sample Simulation Steps:
* Create a Sales Order for Item I1, with Ship Node as Store1
* Schedule, Release the Order
* Create a Shipment (Pipeline used: OOB Outbound Shipment - Store Pipeline)
* Status of the shipment should be Ready for Customer Pick
* Log-in as store user, Navigate to AddToManifest
* Enter either the Shipment # or Order # and click Open
* Shipment details are displayed, Select the Freight terms if not specified in the Order / Shipment
* Enter the Tracking Number, Container Weight
* In the same screen, under the Manifest Details Panel:
1. If there are no open manifests for the SCAC specified in the shipment, new Manifest Number # should be entered in the Textbox available
2. If there is a manifest already existing for the SCAC, then system will display the open Manifest #
* Choose the Radio button -> Keep the Manifest Open and click on Save

6. What are the possible errors that may be encountered during Manifesting?
* WMS00203 - Adjustment reason code not set up for the Node. Refer Solution: 18583
* WMS00012 - Location not passed in the input. Refer Solution: 18584
* YDM00164 - Manifest date should not be before system date. Refer Solution: 18585
* YDM00173 - Container Status Modification Rules do not allow modification. Refer Solution:18586

7. How to confirm if the Manifest has been successful?
* From the console -> Navigate to the shipment details page -> Click on the container Icon button -> check if the Manifested flag is set to Y
* In the database -> check if the manifest_key and manifest_no are stamped in the YFS_SHIPMENT_CONTAINER table

Note:
------------
For stores on boarded with the option of mandatory Backroom pick i.e. 'Required Backroom pick' flag set, the backroom pick should be performed to get the status of the shipment to Ready for Customer. For performing Backroom pick, refer to Solution 18073
