Problem
TECH : Inserting/Modifying records in the hang-off table via Hang-off services and Audit behavior regarding the same
Symptom
Inserting/Modifying records in the hang-off table via Hang-off services and Audit behavior regarding the same
Cause
Resolving The Problem
To insert/modify/get/delete data to/from the hang-off table, we need to use
services as APIs cannot be directly called.
If we insert data to
EXTN_ABC table (which is a order related hang-off table) by invoking service
related to createEXTNABC API from HTTP API Tester by passing appropriate XML,
this will insert the corresponding record in EXTN_ABC table.
Similarly to modify a particular record we can call modifyEXTNABC service which
in turn invokes modifyEXTNABC API. This will audit no records in
yfs_order_audit and yfs_order_audit_detail table. If the Auditrequired is Y in
the Extensions.xml, then the audits will be recorded in the yfs_audit table
else not. Audits will be logged in yfs_order_audit for order related hang-off
tables only when changed by base apis like changeOrder etc irrespective of the
fact that audit is turned on/off in Extension.xml for this hang-off table.
So, from the above explanation we can conclude that when EXTN_ABC is
modified from Services , then audits are logged in yfs_audit table if Audit
Required is Y in Extensions.xml. This is irrespective of whether the hang-off
table is order related or not.
If the hang-off table is
not order related, then audits will be recorded in yfs_audit table if
AuditRequired field is Y else not.
