Cause
Resolving The Problem
The current behavior of the system for item pick,
In item pick
configuration, when user says retrieve inventory to pack station, then system
creates only one task (item pick) overall and stamp the pack (deposit) location
to that task from PACK activity constraint.
If it is configured to
retrieve inventory to a dynamically slot a location in the selected zone then
system creates two tasks. One item pick task from bulk location (as user will
pick pallet/case) to shipment sort location (that is the dynamically slotted
location) in open status. Another order pick task from the dynamically slotted
location as a pick location and blank target location in held status. After the
item pick task is completed this order pick task will get open and suggest to
user. During execution of this task, system finds target location and suggest
in the deposit screen.
Note: Before 7.5 SP1 item pick works very similar
to order pick.
