Error description
BMXAA8902E-At least one hard reservation that will cause Inventory balance or available balanc to be less than zero when an inventory item with 3 FIFO cost layers is planned against a work order and then issued to that work order. Maximo displays an error even though there is enough in inventory to satisfy the APHARD reservation STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1-In Organizations Application / more Actions / Inventory Defaults Set à/ Disallow Negative Balance and à/ Disallow Negative Available Balance àÉ options as checked. Click Ok. 2- Go to Item Master Application and create a new item. Fill in any defaults, activate and save. 3- In More Actions, select Add Items to the Storeroom. Select a valid storeroom and click OK. Now, ensure the item is FIFO and give the item a default bin of TEST. Click OK 4- Go to Inventory Application and pull up the item you created. 5- In the Inventory Balances section, click new row. Enter a bin name of TEST. Enter a current balance of 1 and unit cost of $1.00 6- Save the record 7- Next, go to More Actions ù¶ Inventory Adjustments ù¶ Current Balance. Enter a new balance of 2 and click OK. On the FIFO cost window that displays after, click OK 8- Do the same thing again. This time enter the new balance of 7. Click OK and click OK again on the FIFO window. 9- Now we have 3 FIFO cost layers on our inventory item with a total current balance of 7 10- Go to Work Order Tracking Application and create a new work order. Populate all required fields on the header and save. 11- On the plans tab, add the inventory item that we created previously. We will plan a quantity of 5 Save and approve the work order. 12- Next, go to the Actuals tab. Click on the Materials sub-tab and click the Select Reserved Items button. In the Reserved Items window, select the reservation and click OK 13- Now click Save. Maximo show errors out with the following message BMXAA8902E-There is at least one hard reservation that will cause the inventory balance or inventory available balance to be less than zero. Either change the quantity needed or change the reservation type CURRENT ERRONEOUS RESULT: Get error message when try to use reserved material We have a reservation of 5 items and we have 7 items available It seems like this issue is associated to having 3 FIFO cost layers on the item. EXPECTED RESULT: Cn use reserved itens once We have a reservation of 5 items and we have 7 items available, associated to 3 FIFO cost layers on the item.
