Error description
Error Message: Object neither in heap nor stack-allocated in thread ... ... method=...(JIT) ... . Stack Trace: N/A .
Local fix
N/A
Problem summary
In certain circumstances, the JIT will incorrectly mark a native pointer as a collected reference. If there happens to be a GC pass during the lifetime of the incorrectly marked reference, a GC assertion about the pointer not being a valid object is likely to fire leading to a JVM crash. This problem only occurs in code generated for the x86-32 platform.
Problem conclusion
The JIT has been fixed to no-longer mark the native pointers as collected references. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR3 (8.0.3.0) 7 R1 SR3 FP40 (7.1.3.40) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
