Error description

• Error Message: Either a JVM crash, with vmstate=0x0, or an
  unexpected Java exception are seen in customer code near a call
  to Object.clone.

Local fix

• Using the JVM option -Xjit:disableGlobalVP,diableLocalVP will
  cause this failure to stop occurring. The use of this option may
  cause a significant degradation in performance to be seen, and
  is expected to at least noticeably reduce the performance of
  most workloads.
  

Problem summary

• A JIT compiler optimization contained code that incorrectly
  optimized calls to java.lang.Object.clone in specific
  circumstances.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problematic JIT compiler optimization was corrected to
  ensure that calls to java.lang.Object.clone are handled
  correctly in all cases.
