compiler during code generation

This problem can only occur on the x86 platform

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Under certain circumstances it is possible for the JIT
compiler's register assigner to get confused while generating
code for an array store runtime check, resulting in a crash.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The JIT x86 code generator has been modified to ensure the
correct register dependencies are propagated preventing the
confusion leading to the crash.

This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
   8    SR2       (8.0.2.0)
