APAR status

Error description

  • Error Message: N/A

Stack Trace: N/A

This problem can only occur if auto-SIMD is enabled on either
the z13 platform or POWER 7 or later platform. In addition, this
problem can only occur if -Xjit:enableGPU is specified.

Local fix

  • Either specify -Xjit:disableAutoSIMD or remove -Xjit:enableGPU
Note that this may affect performance.

Problem summary

  • While performing GPU analysis triggered by the -Xjit:enableGPU
option, the JIT compiler incorrectly modified a data structure
that is also used during the autoSIMD transformations. This
caused incorrect auto-SIMD code to be generated.

Problem conclusion

  • The JIT compiler has been updated not to modify auto-SIMD data
structures during GPU analysis.

   8    SR2       (8.0.2.0)
