Local fix

• This issue can be prevented if the java stack is not allowed to
  grow (by setting the -Xiss and -Xss values to the same number).
  It also only occurs in the compressed references JVM, so
  -Xnocompressedrefs will also prevent the issue.
  

Problem summary

• The JVM was incorrectly freeing java stack memory if a grow
  operation failed on the compressed references VM.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JVM has been updated to free the stack memory correctly.
