Error description
The client runs the tepsRestore script on AIX the tepsRestore very slow it has over 6 hours runtime. RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS: - run tepsRestore but it was not recreatable in house.
Local fix
Modify the tepsRestore script as below. ================================================================ == The the last (6.30.5) /opt/IBM/ITM/bin/tepsRestore execute at line 107 - 114 the following: if [ -s $OutDir/target.lst ] then for a in `cat $OutDir/target.lst` do tar -xf $OutDir/TEPS.tar $a done fi tar -xf $OutDir/TEPS.tar cq/sqllib/saveexport.sql After some investiagtion the client changed in the tepsRestore script line 114 tar -xf $OutDir/TEPS.tar -L $OutDir/target.lst
Problem summary
The tepsRestore script can run very slow, for example taking more than 6 hours to complete.
Problem conclusion
Modified the script to use appropriate options to extract lists in the files. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.3.0-TIV-ITM-FP0006
