IBM Support

Calling services asynchronously through agent architecture in 7.1.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Calling services asynchronously through agent architecture in 7.1.

Symptom

How do you call services to be invoked in an asynchronous manner without using agent architecture (no triggers required)? How do you cron them?

Cause

Resolving The Problem

One option is to write a custom agent by extending YCPBaseAgent and then call executeFlow() API from within the agent

For this, a dummy transaction id can be configured and a criteria id can be added for it.

This transaction can be a non-task q based transaction that does not have to be configured in the pipeline.
