Does Item Based Allocation (IBA) takes into account changes in Requested Ship date?

Question & Answer

Question

Does Item Based Allocation (IBA) takes into account changes in Requested Ship date?

Answer

Whenever an order which has been scheduled and the item from the order is IBA enabled, then according to changes in Request Ship Date for that order, IBA will do reallocation of inventory to changes in demands. One should be having: Inventory Rules>Other Rules>Supply Optimization >OPTIMIZE_SUPPLY_SELECT_TO_MAXIMUM_AVAIL activated. In Sterling 8.0, upon running IBA and rescheduling the order reallocation of demands can be viewed by changes in Expected Shipment Dates in the order.
