Question

How do you combine IBM Rational DOORS modules?

Answer

To merge Rational DOORS modules, apply the following steps:

  1. Create a new Target module to which the contents of the other modules have to be merged

  2. Open the source module from which the contents has to be copied

  3. Select Tools > Functions > Copy objects

  4. Click on Browse and select the Target module

  5. Select Copy > All Objects

  6. Select the required Attributes from the list

  7. Click on Apply > OK

  8. All the objects and the selected attributes will be copied to the Target module

  9. Repeat the above steps to copy the objects from the other modules to the Target module

Note: The history information, links and the Requirement IDs will not be preserved in the Target module.
