Error description
When a userid in SYSADM group longer than 8 character is used, the following SEVERE messages are logged in the db2diag.log. This is just a information message indicating unexpected length in the userid. So, the security group plugin (IBMOSgroups) should be logging an INFO message NOT a SEVERE error. 2008-03-07-09.12.47.508936-480 I44361A276 LEVEL: Severe PID : 14688 TID : 1 FUNCTION: DB2 Common, Security, Users and Groups, secLogMessage, probe:20 DATA #1 : String, 71 bytes get_groups_external - useridlen of 13,too big for IBMOSgroup to handle 2008-03-07-09.13.58.759807-480 I44638A276 LEVEL: Severe PID : 14687 TID : 1 FUNCTION: DB2 Common, Security, Users and Groups, secLogMessage, probe:20 DATA #1 : String, 71 bytes get_groups_external - useridlen of 13,too big for IBMOSgroup to handle
Local fix
This can be safely ignored as this really is not a Severe message.
