Error description
When a PUT forceRetry Business Flow Manager (BFM) call doesn't have an input message, the forceRetry runs with an empty input message although it should use the existing, unchanged input message.
Local fix
Problem summary
The implementation of the PUT forceRetry BFM REST API incorrectly converts the missing input data into an empty input message. As a result, the process engine uses this empty input message to overwrite the existing input message of the activity.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that ensures the PUT forceRetry BFM REST uses the existing input message of the activity. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR54868: 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR54868, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
