Error description
When you use the Process Admin Console to create a user, the Full Name property that you defined for the user is not available for later processing and display. For instance, when a user logs in to Process Portal, <null> is displayed as the user's name instead of the user's full name.
Local fix
Problem summary
Before IBM BPM V8.5, users that were created in the Process Admin Console were stored in an internal module (BPMInternalSecurityProvider). This module implements the WebSphere Application Server User Registry (UR) interface to access user information. By definition, the WebSphere Application Server UR interface mandates that the displayName property must be used to get a user's full name property from the WebSphere Application Server UR. This property is currently not requested in federated repositories searches that IBM BPM triggers to retrieve user details. Therefore, the full name property is neither retrieved nor stored for users that are created in the Process Admin Console.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.2. that ensures that all search queries that federated repositories.request or run also request the displayName property. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR50633: 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR50633, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
