**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere BPM Advanced user * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If there are many instances of * * xsd:import in the definitions of a * * business object and many WSDL * * interfaces in the project, such as * * <xsd:import * * namespace="http://www.ibm.com/domain/co * * mmon/messages/v1_0" * * schemaLocation="../../../../../domain/c * * ommon/messages/v1_0/BaseServiceRequest. * * xsd"> * * and the SCA module depends on many * * libraries, you might experience a * * performance issue when the SCA module * * is being deployed. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** This performance issue occurs because the artifact loader scans the module ¢â‚¬â„¢s EAR file for business object definitio and WSDL interfaces, trying to locate the XSD file that is specified at "schemaLocation=" in the EAR file, and will traverse all the JAR files in the EAR file until the XSD file is found.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.0.0 that creates a cache for the exact location of the schema in the EAR file during deployment, therefore preventing the performance lag. On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search for JR49744: 1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack level, and your platform, and then click Continue. 2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR49744, and click Continue. When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for additional installation instructions and information about the fix.
