Question
How do you customize the Class Diagram Toolbar in IBM Rational Rhapsody?
Cause
The General::Graphics::<Diagram Name>Toolbar property is available only for Rhapsody classic diagrams. The "Class Diagram" is located under stereotype in PredefinedTypes and is not a classic diagram.
Answer
Toolbar for class diagram can be customized using Model > Stereotype > DrawingToolbar property.
The Class Diagram stereotype can be found in Rhapsody PreDefinedTypes packages under the following directory:
<Rhapsody Installed Directory>\Share\Properties\PreDefinedTypes.sbs

In order to custom/change the Class Diagram toolbar, change the property accordingly as follows.
- Open a new Rhapsody project
- Open File > Add to Model
- Select PreDefinedTypes.sbs package under the directory:
<Rhapsody Installed Directory>\Share\Properties\
- Choose "As Unit" option
- When message - "Package PredefinedTypes already exist" - appears, select OK
Under Package, PredefinedTypes are now editable
- Update Class Diagram stereotype Model::Stereotype::DrawingToolbar property
