Error description
Operational e-mails such as account activation notification, password reset notification and wish list create notification derive the host name used to compose the e-mails from wc-server.xml. When multiple stores are sharing the same instance of WebSphere Commerce they may not be sharing the same host name. This fix will enable deployments of WebSphere Commerce to have different host names for different stores.
Local fix
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Commerce users who use operation e-mails and use different host names for different stores. PROBLEM ABSTRACT: Enablement for configurable host names for operational e-mails. BUSINESS IMPACT: Without this fix, WebSphere Commerce deployments will be unable to send operation e-mails if different stores have different host names. RECOMMENDATION:
Problem conclusion
The JSPs that compose the operational e-mails for AccountActivationEmail, PasswordResetEmail and WishlistCreateEmail have been updated to ensure that image URLs do not get the host name twice. This can occur when environment variables like jspStoreImgDir already include the host. com.ibm.commerce.messaging.commands.MessagingViewCommandImpl has been modified to use a new task command (com.ibm.commerce.messaging.commands.MessagingGetWebHostCmd) to determine the host name. The default implementation retrieves the host name from WebServer/HostName. The host name is used when the operational e-mail JSPs are invoked to compose the e-mails. Implementers must provide an implementation of MessagingGetWebHostCmd that will return the host name when the getWebHostName method is called. ------------------------------------------------------------- The latest available maintenance information can be obtained from the Recommended Fixes for WebSphere Commerce technote: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=3046&uid=swg21261296
