Error description
Concurrent catalog uploads fail because one catalog upload thread holds a database connection longer than the firewall time-out. This happens for users who have a firewall setup between the Commerce server and database. After failing, all subsequent catalog uploads fail with the same database connection issue until the server is restarted.
Local fix
Use Dataload instead of Catalog Upload.
