Error description
When GROUP BY is set, cannot reopen SQL Builder with the following message: "An error occured invoking the SQL Builder:"
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users that invoke SQLBuilder and attempt to perform a GROUP BY. **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Under 7.5.3 the user attempts to use the GROUP BY clause then it is likely to crash the application if used with a non aggregate function. On 8.x the issue is that the GROUP BY functionality has been restricted to no longer allow functions, which is incorrect. This was possibly as a result of the GROUP BY issue exhibited in 7.5.3. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Edit the generated GROUP BY SQL statement to include functions if they are required. ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
Edit the generated GROUP BY SQL statement to include functions if they are required.
Comments
